10 questions with Noel Cypress
Today's interview is with the very talented and beautiful Noel Cypress.
1. What is your name and where are you from?
I am Noel Cypress, and I'm from the good ol' Midwest.
2. How did you discover cosplay?
I discovered cosplay when I discovered Sailor Moon as a kid. I remember running around target and the mall trying to find a leotard and skirt so I could make my own Sailor Chibi Pluto so I could run around as a sailor scout. After that I realized how fun it was, and was completely addicted to getting in costumes and pretending to be the person.
3. What characters have you cosplayed in the past?
A LOT. like..... Holy hell a lot. LoL. Asuka from Eva, Saria from Zelda, Angewomon from Digimon, Vanille from FF13... and that's not even half of my cosplays...
4. What sites have you worked with?
I currently work with http://www.thedangerousdolls.com/ and http://www.cosplaydeviants.com/ the only site that shows my cosplay though is cosplaydeviants, of course.
Saria has always been my favorite cosplay since about 5th grade. When I wear Saria's outfit I dont even feel like im in a costume, I just feel like myself. In high school I was even called Saria by quite a few of my friends for this reason and for the fact that i actually cut and dyed my real hair like Sarias (short and green).
I read too many. Haha. Mainly I stick in the batman universe. My favorite is catwoman. Second favorite comics would be X-men because they have Nightcrawler in them *DROOL*
7. Are you a gamer, if so what is your favorite game and on what system?
I'm a HUUUUUGE gamer. I'm almost always playing games. Im a whore for Halo3. I just got Halo Reach and can barely put it down. I also play World of Warcraft and am currently leveling up a lvl 35 Warlock Undead. I own an xbox, ps2, DSi, Gamecube, and more.
8. What are your future plans in terms of cosplay?
I plan on continuing to cosplay. I'm remaking my angewomon with a proffesional armor-maker. And I'm also making a huge project for the release of cataclysm which will be one of my biggest cosplay projects yet!
9. Where do you like to show off your costumes the most?
In civilization. Randomly. haha.
10. What would you say is your favorite genre to cosplay?
Any and all? I guess games, since a majority of my stuff is games.

10 questions with Quinn
Time for another captivating cosplay interview. Enjoy!
My name is Quinn. I was born and raised in central Florida but currently reside in New York.
2. How did you discover cosplay?
I've technically known of cosplay since elementary school because I was aware of Star Trek and Sci Fi conventions and that people would dress up for them... I actually knew it under the term Cosplay in sixth grade when I discovered anime and comic book conventions. (As well as general cons that include everything.)
3. What characters have you cosplayed in the past?
Android 17 (DBZ), Setsuna (Angel Sanctuary), Hinata (Naruto), May (Pokemon), Tohru (Fruits Basket) Rukia (Bleach), Anna (He Is My Master), Magik (X-Men, two different versions), Mio (K-ON!) and Himeko (Pani Poni Dash)
I've mostly worked with the cosplay fetish site Cosplay Deviants. I also have sets on the alternative nude site called Broken Doll House. Other than that, you can find my images on DeviantArt (bitchpleez.deviantart.com) and Model Mayhem (#1675193)
5. Who is your favorite character to cosplay?
Currently I would say Magik. I had a blast, even if I was dressed up as a hero instead of a villain. I'm working on a Poison Ivy costume for Halloween and really looking forward to that, though!
6. Do you read comics? If so, what are your favorites?
I love comics. Sadly I don't have time to keep up with everything I want to, but I grew up loving Batman and that still remains number one in my book. I'm also a HUGE fan of Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean's Black Orchid. It's one of my favourite comics of all time.
I'm not much of a gamer.... I actually don't like most of the games I try to play. But I love anything Dark Stalkers, Tekken, Katamari Damacy and Silent Hill. I'm OBSESSED with Silent Hill. The World Ends With You is also one of my favourite games, and I love Pokemon.
8. What are your future plans in terms of cosplay?
I'm currently working on and commissioning a few costumes. My next costumes will be Sasha Caylo (Titan Maximum), Triana (Venture Bros.), and Poison Ivy (Batman). There's some other costumes I'm hoping to start working on soon, like Heather from Silent Hill and Sabrina from Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold.
9. Where do you like to show off your costumes the most?
Obviously Conventions. That's where a costume will get the most recognition from people who love (or hate) the character or series.
10. What would you say is your favorite genre to cosplay?
Although I haven't been able to make too many costume for it yet, I love comic costumes. I'm looking forward to doing more Western comic characters in the future.
Comic Review: Batman Scar of the Bat and Reign of Terror (DC Elseworlds)
Today, I came home a little bit under the weather. Well, I took my extra time off from work to catch up on some reading. Thanks to the wonderful world of ebay, I was able to get my hands on a couple of DC Comics Eleseworlds trades. I am a big fan of the Elseworlds stories from DC. Anyway, the two trades I read today come from the Batman line. The first one I read was Scar of the Bat. Once I finished that title, I read Reign of Terror. These are both great reads.
In Batman: Scar of the Bat, we are left pondering what if the caped crusader was one of the Untouchabes with Eliot Ness on his conquest after Al Capone. The story was brilliant! Max Allan Collins did a great job writing this piece. Each page had you asking, which one is the "Bat" man? After a few twists and turns, you are left satisfied. I highly reccommend this book to any comic or Batman fan. I give Scar of the Bat a rating of a strong 8 out of a possible 10.
In Batman: Reign of Terror, we find Bruce Wayne a man of honor in France during the French Revolution. Sickened by what he sees at what has happened to the land that he loves, he takes the guise of a bat to first free his in-laws from the guillotine or Blade of Death as the locals called it. After sacing his in-laws, Bruce is foced to act a kinship with the war-scared Herve' Deinte until his identity was revealed. Batman was surely near death from the hands of Two-Face when a stranger in disguise comes to save him. You can say it wasa little bridy that saved him, lol. He is reunited with his wife and they live happyily ever after. Mike W. Barr is a creative genius for writing this story. I give Reign of Terror a rating of 8.5-9 very easily.
My suggestion, get these books and read them today!

10 questions with Giorgia Vecchini
With the help of the beautiful Giorgia, I was able to recover one of my lost interviews from when I first started this blog. Giorgia is a beautiful, well known cosplay model from Italy. Derf's Domain is proud to present 10 questions with Giorgia.
1. What is your name and where are you from?
2. How did you discover cosplay?
Well you either are born as a cosplayer or you become one of them. I was born as such, since I cosplayed Heidi from Heidi: Girl of the Alps when I was only two years old ;) Later, I used to attend comic conventions where some guys played some live fanatsy role playing game, wearing wizards, ogres and knights costumes, so I thought that I could have done the same using japanese animation characters. It was on the 21st of March of 1997, during the Spring Edition of Lucca Comics '97 I had my debut as a cosplayer wearing a Sailormars outfit from Sailormoon.
About 40 characters.Some examples:
Sailor Mars
Sailor Pluto
Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman
Elektra
Witchblade
Psylocke
Pirotess
Pretty Cure
Demon Bird Silene
Maleficent
Catra
And many more!
My personal site is http://www.giorgiacosplay.com/ , but I work very hard for the biggest Italian Cosplay Communit, CosplayPlanet( http://www.cosplayplanet.net/ ),in which you can find all the pics from the main Italian Events, a dayly updated blog with odd news from cosplay world, and a lot of things cosplay related
5. Who is your favorite character to cosplay?
I know that people from all over the world love me in the suit of SailorPluto, so maybe she’s become my fav too ^^, but I love to do cosplay evil characters…they are really much more funny!
6. Do you read comics? If so, what are your favorites?
I prefer manga, but I felt in love some years ago with Sandman,Fathom and with Bone of Jeff Smith
I’m totally retro game addicted.I love the old coin op game of 8o’s..do you remember Wonder boy or Ghost’n Goblin? I know that modern games offer to cosplayers a lot of magnificent costumes and sometimes I do it too ( expecially from MMporg)..but I still love them ^_^ maybe cause I’m grew up with them...for example I’ve planned to do the costume of Reika the main character of an old anime game called Time gal!
8. What are your future plans in terms of cosplay?
First o fall a lot of projects for costumes from various categories (anime, games, cartoon,tv shows..),and I’d like to redone some old costumes in a better way, for example Morrigan(Darkstalkers) and Witchblade . Summer time is a great period for trips!I’ll be in Paris for Japan Expo in the first week end of July, then in Italy for a special event for poor people of Africa and then I will be guest in Mexico for Tsugicon.
I really love to show my efforts during the main con not only in Italy but even in Europe (for example Japan Expo in Paris) and all over the world ( TNT in Mexico, WCS and Comiket in Japan) ^_^
10. What would you say is your favorite genre to cosplay?
I’m so eclectic I really don’t think to have a fav genre, btw I prefer not overused characters and that fit me very well ;)

10 questions with Riddle
Time for another pulse-pounding interview with another beautiful cosplay model. You may recognize her from conventions or various cosplay/comic sites. It is my Pleasure to present my interview with Riddle.
What is your name and where are you from?
My Name is Riddle (or Ridd1e) and I’m currently located in Atlanta.
2. How did you discover cosplay?
I didn’t so much as discovered cosplay as somewhat stumbled into it. I grew up in a small town in Canada, Halloween was rolling around and I wanted to dress up like Devil hunter Yohko, an anime character. It wasn’t till almost a year and a half later I would attend my first convention, and see other people who are also were costuming and realize I wasn’t alone.
3. What characters have you cosplayed in the past?
I have cosplayed over 40+ characters since I started costuming. From movies, to anime, to comics and video games. If you go to my website you can check out them all. This year I wear BlackCat, Phantom Lady, Classical Leia and Female Loki.
4. What sites have you worked with?
4. What sites have you worked with?
I haven’t really worked with any particular websites. I know my picture has appeared on various sites.
5. Who is your favorite character to cosplay?
I like to pick characters that represent the inner strength of women that I feel the media doesn’t …. Nah I'm just messing with you! I enjoy the sassy and quirky characters, ones I can relate too in some way, with outfits that I like, but another important factor is costuming with my body type.
6. Do you read comics? If so, what are your favorites?
Usually every night before bed and on wednesday! When I was growing up, we didn’t have a comic book store, so I'm a behind on titles. Since I have moved to the States I have ravaged people’s collections with a fury. In no particular order I like; Miracle man, NextWave, Hellboy, Watchmen, Nexus, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (required reading amongst the company I keep), as well as New Frontier * Darwyn Cooke*, Young Avengers, She Hulk *Dan Slott *, Empowered, Ultimates, Thor *In Kansas, who knew!*, and Fables.
7. Are you a gamer, if so what is your favorite game and on what system?
I am a gamer. Of all the ‘geek’ alleys one can go down, that was my first. I started playing intellivision when I was a young child and then just hop scotched through all the other consoles. My favorite Game, wow… There is absolutely no way I can narrow it down. I will say my favorite genre has always been RPGS, but that’s not to say I can’t throw a beat down in Halo when given the opportunity.
8. What are your future plans in terms of cosplay?
8. What are your future plans in terms of cosplay?
I have a lot of costumes I would like to do, but I’m so particular in regards to the right fabric choices, accessories and look of the outfit, but I'm only able to usually allot myself 2-3 new costumes a year. My future plans are to develop my skills as a costumer and continue to challenge myself and keep doing the character that inspires me.
9. Where do you like to show off your costumes the most?
I love going to conventions and meeting people and especially kids who are fans of the character. I think my favorite way to show my costumes off most is in photos, it allows me the opportunity to present the costume in a story like setting.
10. What would you say is your favorite genre to cosplay?
I have no one favorite genre. Comic fans are more open to interpretations of characters, but I love the colors and designs of various anime and video games.
Thank you for reading my interview and you can check out more of my work or get in touch with me on my website which is HimeArts.com, or visit my Facebook
