Granny Goodness on Smallville

SV_Abandoned_GG_TessDid any of my readers happen to see tonight's episode of Smallville?   I want to know what you thought about Granny Goodness and the coming of Darkseid.  I thought the episode was pretty good but I do have hesitations as well. One thing that I thought was cool was the portrayel of Lois Lane's mother by Teri Hatcher.  I think it was cool to keep anyone who has worked in the realm of Superman on the show.  Tess being one of the creations of Granny Goodness was an interesting twist but finding out that Tess is really a Luthor was a buzz kill. Another thing that is bugging me is the appearance of Dessad as a young good-looking man.  We all know that Dessad is anything but.  Towards the end, we also see Godfrey back as the Darkseid possessed prophet of doom and things to come.  Exactly what will happen when Darkseid comes to cause the apocolypse is anyone's guess. All in all, I thought it was a good episode but I do have my doubts as well.  I cannot wait to see where this is going.  Please feel free to tell me what you think.

I loved it. From a Smallville spin, it was great. Not your comic book version of things for sure, but a nice grounding in the world they have created for themselves. It was super fun to see the furies (Lashina was pretty obvious even if she stayed in the background) and Tess as a Luthor is pretty cool (although I always hoped that she'd end up as the Ultra Humanite, who was a woman at one point.)

All these folks are in human form, so Desaad's looks are fine with me (we've had some pretty handsome/sexy heroes and villains in the series' history as it is - it's kind of expected now lol)

Granny was played very well too, not over the top but not so muted as to come across as non-threatening either.

A really good episode in my opinion.

I agree it was a great episode, I just hope they don't beautify Darkseid, lol.

The two obvious ones were Lashina and Mad Harriet.
