My Picks for Summer Slam 2019

Summer Slam 2019
Will Becky Lynch retain her title?  Can Seth Rollins dethrone the Beast?  Will Kofi suffer a RKO?  These are the questions the WWE Universe needs to know the answers to.  Well, in the post, I will provide you with my thoughts on who should leave Summer Slam VICTORIOUS!

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak vs. Oney Lorcan
WWE Cruiserweight Championship

Drew Gulak has proven that he has what it takes to be champ, but can he keep up with the brutality that Oney Lorcan possess?  I believe it will be a hard fight, however, I think Drew will walk away with the title.

Winner: Drew Gulak

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Ember Moon
WWE Smackdown Live's Women Championship Match

Bayley chose Ember Moon to face her at Summer Slam.  Sure, Bayley said some nice things about Ember, but don't be fooled.  Bayley chose Ember because she thinks she can guarantee a victory.  Well, Bayley may get some nice strikes in but Ember will come out on top, especially if she hits the Eclipse.

Winner: Ember Moon

United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Ricochet
United States Championship Match

AJ Styles and ricochet have been tearing it up for months now with some kick ass matches.  It is because of these matches, that I believe this match could steal the entire show.  Ricochet had a taste of what it was like to be champion and he wants it back. The only problem is, he isn't just wrestling anyone, he is wrestling the Phenomenal One.  One on One, AJ has the means to win but you know his boys Gallows and Anderson will be in the arena and as of right now they are matchless so they can give a helping hand if needed.

Winner: AJ Styles

Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler Vs Goldberg

Dolph has been complaining about the over use of retirees instead of the talent that is available.  In that manner, he and Kevin Owens can agree.  Too much talent is buried and put to the side.  Dolph tried to get his pal, the Miz, to see where he was coming from only to have HBK get in the way.  Well, Dolph did what he does best, and he talked the talk.  Some may say he opened his mouth too wide because now he faces Goldberg.  Sure, Dolph's mouth got him into a huge match, but that is where he shines.  You see, Dolph doesn't just talk the talk, but he can walk the walk.  I foresee a loss in Goldberg's future.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler by any means necessary

Trish Stratus vs. Charlotte Flair
Trish Stratus Vs Charlotte Flair

Charlotte is furious that the Queen was not thought of for any championship opportunity at Summer Slam. Her ego got the best of her and she thought she would challenge Trish for a match.  She knows the crowd will always loves to see Trish wrestle, so she figures what better way to get in the limelight than to be a legend.  Sure Trish may not train as much as Charlotte, but Trish hasn't lost her step either.  I think Charlotte challenged the wrong woman.  She would have been better of challenging Michael Cole.

Winner: Trish Stratus

Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon
KO Vs Shane O'Mac

Shane is nowhere near the Best, and Kevin will do everything to prove it.  We all know that Shane will have tricks up his sleeve, but since we are in Canada for Summer Slam, Kevin may h ave some tricks as well.  I mean KO's career is on the line.  I think Shane will try to cheat to win, but I think KO will come out on top.

Winner: Kevin Owens

Finn Bálor vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

The Fiend Vs Finn

Bray Wyatt aka the Fiend hasn't wrestled a match for some time now.  Finn has been busy defending the Intercontinental Championship until recently.  SO, who will come out the better man?  Well, in this match, Finn might be the only man coming to the ring.  The Fiend is looking to hurt Finn Balor and to put him on a shelf.  The only thing that could save Finn, is the power of the Demon King.  Unfortunately for the WWE Universe, Finn has promised not to let him in.

Winner: The Fiend, Bray Wyatt

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton
WWE Championship Match

Kofi chose Randy as his challenger due to some bad blood from years ago.  Only problem is, Randy is a Viper and he strikes whether you see him coming or not.  Don't get me wrong, Kofi is very capable and could come out on top,  but Randy is a tricky opponent to beat.  What I am saying is that Kofi is in for one hell of a match.

Winner: Kofi Kingston, someway, somehow

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Natalya

Raw Women’s Championship Match (Submission Match)

Natalya wants to be champion once again.  She wants to win it in her homeland.  I understand all that, but why challenge the Man?   If it was a regular match I could see it, but a submission match?  Becky has won more matches with her Disarmer move that Natalya has with her sharpshooter.  I get why Natalya wants to win at Summer Slam, but by making it a submission match, I think she guaranteed her loss to the Man.

Winner:  Becky "the Man" Lynch

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins

Universal Championship Match

Seth claims to be the Beast Slayer because he got lucky and pinned the Beast to win the Universal Championship.  Fast Forward to Money in the Bank and Lesnar wins to guarantee payback to Rollins for stealing his title.  For weeks and weeks, Seth was swimming with blood in the water, waiting for the great white to take it's bite and reclaim his glory.  That is exactly what the Beast did when he cashed in his MITB contract to become champion once again.  Since then, the Beast, Brock Lesnar has reminded Seth exactly why they call him the Beast.  Seth thinks he has a chance of defeating Brock at Summer Slam, but to steal a line from Mr. McMahon's soundtrack, Seth has NO CHANCE IN HELL.

Winner: Brock Lesnar

Well, now you know  where I stand.  I am disappointed that the Tag Titles as well as the International title are not up for grabs.  Hopefully, we will get to see some 24/7 title opportunities as well as a Roman Reigns Vs Rowan showdown.

Until next time, unleash your inner NERD!
