Firestorm Easter Egg

I assigned my Art students an Easter Egg design project.  Of course I had to get in on the fun.  Since it was Friday I paid tribute to Firestorm.  This was done on lain copy paper with the use of sharpie markers and a crayola marker for the skin tone.  I think I did pretty good.  I caught some of my students trying to take it, lol.

In My Opinion ~ Firestorm on the Flash

Check out my thoughts on how I believe Firestorm is doing on the hit show, the Flash.  If the writing keeps up, I believe we will be seeing Firestorm a lot in the future.

Books Worth Reading: Justice League 3000

Check out my reasons why you should be reading JL300.

Did I mention there is a Firestorm?

Flashback Friday starring Firestorm

Today's Flashback Friday post is also a Classic Cover and features my favorite nuclear hero, Firestorm.  The issue I am posting is Firestorm #58.  It is here that Firestorm is forced to fight an all new version of the Parasite.  This isn't your Superman's Parasite that is for sure.  Will our hero be able to vanquish the villain with an endless hunger for power?  You will have to see for yourself.

Happy Firestorm Friday!

Today's art is a nice rendering of Deathstorm I found on deviantart.com.

Today's classic cover, the Flash #291.

The fact that there is a Firestrom story in this issue doesn't hurt either. LoL

DC Comics ad from '85

I was looking through some of my old comics and I came across this ad from '85.

The ad is promoting DC Comics latest adventures in the RPG world.

Since my boy Firestorm was in it, I decided to post it today.

Firestorm Friday

Do you know what day it is?  It's time to flame on!  er, whatta minute wrong universe, lol.

It's time to celebrate Firestorm Friday!

The Return of Finch Friday

A wonderful piece of art starring the Black Lanterns by David Finch.

Oh yeah, since Firestorm made the cut, Happy Firestorm Friday as well.  :)

Firestorm Friday

I know the day is almost over, but I want to wish you a Happy Firestorm Friday!  I found this pattern for a cubecraft Firestorm on deviantart and I wanted to make one before I sent this post.  So that is exactly what I did.  After I followed the pattern I thought it needed more so  I added some tissue paper to the top to get the flame action going.

Original pattern can be found here:

Firestorm by Reis

My boy Reis over at Hey, Look at my Art!  as well as Hey, Look at my Toys!   created this original piece of art for me to show some love to a fellow blog brother.  I really appreciate the time and effort he took to make me an original Firestorm.

Thanks Reis!

I saw this and knew I had to share it with my fellow geeks and geekettes.
