Wrestlemania 39 Predictions Night 2 (04/02/23)

Sorry for the late post, but I had to work then visit family before writing this post.  Yesterday I predicted Night 1 of WrestleMania 39 and I believe I did a pretty decent job.  I mean 4 out of 7 ain't bad.  The real winners were the fans.  To quote Sheamus, every match was a "Banger after Banger after Banger!"  So let's look at tonight shall we.

WrestleMania Showcase Match

Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan Vs. Natalya & Shotzi Vs. Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler Vs. Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green for a chance at the Women's Tag Team Championships.  Who will win?  Who knows?  All I know is that I am pulling for the team of Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green.  It is about time they have their WrestleMania moment.  Sonya has been a work horse for the company and Chelsea is more talented than people give her credit for.  So for this match, I am just showing my bias and picking who I want to win.  Nothing wrong with the other ladies,  I just think it's time for Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green to shine.

Winners: Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green

the Giant Vs the Beast

Brock Lesnar vs. Omos seems to be a last minute match if you ask me.  A lot of fans are screaming that Omos got the match because Vince is back.  That could be true but I am not concerned about it.  My only concern is that if the rumors are t rue this could be Brock's last match.  If that is true, they ruined his talent to showcase a giant.  If this is Brock's last match, he better win damn it!

Winner: Brock Lesnar

Intercontinental Title Triple Threat Match

Gunther Vs. Drew McIntyre Vs. Sheamus will be nothing but a bar brawl in the ring.  The ring general Gunther wanted his Wrestlemania moment to be full of grace and respect but Adam Pearce ruined that dream.  So here we are, a match were Gunther could loose his title without even being pinned.  For shame.  Hopefully Drew and Sheamus will focus on each other allowing Gunther to retain his championship.

Winner: Gunther

Raw Women's Championship Match

Is Bianca ready for Asuka?  Maybe she is maybe she isn't but she is the bEST chance of Asuka losing this match. However, and I  know I am biased on this one, Asuka will become your RAW Women's Champion yet again.

Winner: Asuka

Hell in a Cell Match

Edge vs. "The Demon" Finn Bálor promises to be a show stopper.  Both men have dark sides, the victor will be t he one who has the most control of his Darkness.  For me, that person is Finn Bálor.  Oh, it will be HELL in a CELL, but the demon shall rise and destroy Edge in the process.

Winner: Finn Bálor

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match

Will Cody be able to finish his story? Roman Reigns Vs. Cody Rhodes is going to be an instant classic.  The American Nightmare looks to become the Head of the Table. Will this be possible?  Will the Bloodline get involved?  Of course they will, but I have a feeling Cody is taking this to heart and will have his own back-up in the shadows.

Winner: the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes

Elimination Chamber Predictions

I am not going to make my usual predictions for all the matches like I have in the past.  I want to focus on the two matches in which the pay-per-view is named for.

First, let's discuss the men's elimination chamber match.  This match is for the US Title and not one of the championships being held by the tribal chief.  With that said, I believe that Theory will lose the title yet again.  That will open up the possibility of a Theory Vs Cena match for Mania.  The best candidates I think comedown to two men; those men are Montez Ford and Johnny Gargano.  I love the Street Profits and Montez Ford deserves more gold, but I think the best play would be to have Johnny Gargano beat Austin Theory and show him "the Way" out of his championship.

My Prediction: Johnny Gargano walks away with the W.

Now, let's discuss the #1 contender for the RAW Women's Championship elimination chamber match.  There are 5 former champions as well as 2 former NXT champions in this mix.   That's a lot of gold as well as a lot of experience.  Everyone in this match knows what it is like to hold gold, so the question is who is the hungriest?  When all is said and done, I think the rebirth of Asuka will be too much for the remaining ladies to control.

My Prediction:  No one will be ready for Asuka and she walks away with the win.

In references to the other matches, I think they will be good but I just wanted to share my picks on the Chamber matches themselves.

Hell in a Cell (My Predictions)

Today is one of my favorite days of the entire year.  Why?  Because it is time for the Hell in a Cell!  This is by far one of my favorite wrestling pay-per-views ever.  Granted, they are not as violent as they used to be, but there are some really good matches no matter how lame some may think the card is.  I understand that a lot of fans are disappointed because it's mostly a RAW and they are afraid they will not see the Bloodline, but you never know what surprises Vince has in store.  Hell, maybe the Bloodline will come down and interfere in Seth's match.  You really don't know what is going to happen.  That's why it is called Hell in a Cell.  Let's go ahead and get to my picks.

Madcap Moss Vs Happy Corbin

First up, is the last match added to the card, Madcap Moss Vs Happy Corbin. Since this is more of a payback for all the crap Moss had to take from Happy, I believe it is going to be a brawl and not a match.  With that said, Corbin will get some shots in but my money is on Moss for the W.

Winner: Madcap Moss

The United States Championship Match

Austin Theory Vs Mustafa Ali is frankly a match I don't care for but I am hoping Ali can snag the win.  We all know that Theory is the sole member of Mr. McMahon's kiss my ass club and that is the only reason he has so much success.  Don't get me wrong, Theory is a talented individual but he made a deal with the devil that will eventually catch up to him...just not tonight.

Winner: Theory

Handicap Match (2 Vs 1) the Almighty Vs Omos and MVP

Why is this even a match.  I am so tired of them trying to push Omos.  I mean, the only way they could make him relevant was to have MVP turn on Lashley.  Knowing Vince, he will probably make the match go Omos's way.  He has a thing for Omosjust like he has a thing for Theory.   If this match is left to just athletic ability and brute strength, the Almighty wins this hands down.

Winner: the Almighty Bobby Lashley

Kevin Owens Vs Ezekiel

I love Kevin Owens and I love chanting,  "Fight Owens Fight!" but this truth seeking storyline has gotten very boring.  For what ever reason WWE creative thought it was okay to take Elias and brand him as Ezekiel should lost their job when they mentioned it.  Hopefully KO will beat a confession out of Ezekiel. The only way I see Elias, I mean Ezekiel win this match is if there is a DQ somehow.

Winner: Kevin Owens

the Club Vs Judgement Day

First of all, let me just say I do not like the name the Judgement Day.  They should have just stuck with the Judgement.  Anyway, I am routing for the "Club" to defeat the Judgement Day but I have a feeling that a member of the "Club" will turn and cost their team the victory.  If there isn't a turn, I feel we will see a new member none the less.

Winner: this match could go either way but I am afraid the winners will be Judgement day

Cody Rhodes Vs Seth Rollins III

This is the 3rd time these two wrestling giants and I am ready for the rivalry to end.  I know Rollins wants to prove that he is better than the American Nightmare and he just might do it tonight.   Cody is 2-0 wrestling Seth at a PPV but tonight, with his newly discovered injury might just lose to Seth.  Who knows?  All I know is that Seth is due a victory over Cody.

Winner: Seth Rollins

Triple Threat Raw Women's Championship Match

I believe this should have been Bianca Vs Asuka but Becky wasn't having that at all.  I personally hope that Asuka comes out victorious but I have a feeling that "Bad Attitude" Becks will ruin the victory for both of them and Bianca will remain champion.  If Asuka is able to watch out for Becky and is allowed to wrestle Bianca or even Becky one on one, then Asuka should leave this match champion.

Winner: My heart says Asuka, but my brain says Bianca.

Asuka is simply the BEST!

Asuka is simply the BEST!

No one can stop Asuka.
